V0.2.3 - Introducing Weapons!


Taking one good step into the current milestone, Synthaar now has weapons! While combat is not yet implemented (but is on the way), you can now buy weapons and train your characters to use them by developing their skills with a training dummy. This update also focuses more on providing information and help to the player, in order to prevent confusion and make it easier to play the game. A lot of framework has been laid to start marching into the next areas of the current milestone, which will feature combat and missions. Soon, Synthaar will add a bit more spice to the daily routine of living in a distant galaxy. 

[ADDED]

  • Weaponry
  • Training Dummies allow you to train with weapons
  • You can now customize clothing at a Tailoring or Armorsmith Workbench
  • Crates, allowing the sale of unique items in bulk in Vendors
  • Objects that are unpowered or unwatered now report such when hovering your cursor over them.
  • Chat bubbles now show more information
  • Characters who have a low motive will now think about the motive they need filled in a thought bubble
  • Your boss and coworkers are labeled as such in the relationship panel
  • When selecting a species in Character Creation, a description of that species now appears
  • Motives now have a description when hovering over them in the Motive panel
  • Relationships have a more detailed description when you hover over them in the relationship panel
  • Driveby Cars now have color
  • Plants in build mode now list their growth time and watering frequency in days

[CHANGED]

  • Hunting provides more chances of success based on having a weapon and the associated skill
  • The wall building cursor now becomes red when destroying walls

[FIXED]

  • Doors no longer open if someone is above or below them
  • Resource counts on the bottom of the screen now accurately report the items on the lot in storage
  • Utility bills are appropriately charged every 3 days, and only if you're using utilities
  • Tooltips should appropriately flip when too close to the right side of the screen
  • The Escape Key should now reliably open the Game Menu
  • The drinking fountain's scale is now correct, and can be used to fulfill the thirst need
